The body burns the excess fat up and uses it for deriving energy. As a result there is a reduction in the fat and eventually in one’s weight. Here are a few tips on how to follow a high protein diet plan.
Ideal protein diet plan
- Some of the protein rich foods that are to be included in the diet are lean meat, beef, turkey, chicken, fish, legumes, eggs, etc.
- First have all the protein rich foods stocked up in your kitchen and get rid of all the junk food so that you do not get tempted.
- Make proper plans for the protein diet plan after consulting a dietician and determine yourself to follow the diet plan.
- Have a limited amount of protein for the breakfast in the morning. For example you can have scrambled eggs, two or three pieces of sliced toast and half a cup of low fat milk. Make sure there isn’t any food that contains carbohydrates as they spoil the whole of the protein diet plan. For the snacks in the morning a protein drink can do the job.
- The lunch is time where you need to include the maximum amount of proteins. An example of a good protein rich lunch is two ounces of turkey breast, two slices of multi grain bread, a cup of fresh baby carrots and half a cup of low fat cheese. A protein bar can serve the purpose for the afternoon snack.
- The dinner is however best if the amount of protein is kept low. A skinless chicken breast and a cup of lentil soup and a couple of celery sticks with non fat cheese are examples of foods for dinner. Inclusion of fish is also not a bad idea as it can make an essential food for the cholesterol diet.
- Make sure you drink lots of water as it is necessary for the proper metabolism process.
